Our June Newsletter rounds up all you need to know about Reels and the world of video.
Reels short-listed for THREE Evcom Clarion Awards
We are delighted to announce that our work on Erika’s Sustainability Journey for all-round-planet-saving-heroes Slicker Recycling has been nominated in three categories at the prestigious Clarion Awards. The video has been short-listed in the Brand Communication, Environment, and Education & Training categories. The winners will be announced on July 3rd so watch this space. You can read all about the awards here.
Slicker Recycling: June Project of the Month
In honour of the nominations, we are showcasing Erika’s Sustainability Journey as our Project of the Month. The video is very fun, very quirky, and very different, and also received one of our favorite pieces of feedback ever – ‘this video is the John Lewis moment for the sustainability industry!’. You can decide for yourself by watching the video here.
Introducing Our Newest Member of the Team
We would like to warmly welcome our new Marketing Manager Lauren Tobin to the team here at Reels. The 4th June saw Lauren join the team and we couldn’t be happier. We are always trying to help our clients be seen and be heard, and this new position will be helping us to do the same. If you’re interested in future positions here at Reels in Motion, please connect with us on LinkedIn and keep an eye out for new positions.
Euro 2024: Game-Changing Video Production and Broadcast Technology
There are two things we love here at Reels – Video and Football. June therefore was quite a treat for us, so we decided to combine our two passions into this blog! For anyone working in video production or broadcasting, the Euro 2024 is an amazing opportunity to see the latest in video technology, equipment, and production. This blog covers all the nitty gritty details around how we get to watch the big game from the comfort of our own home, plus we touch on the broadcasting war between the BBC/ ITV.
Here is one of our Co-Founders enjoying (if that’s the right word) the match from the stadium in Cologne, Germany:
Ultimate Guide to Glastonbury 2024: Iconic Performances, BBC Coverage, and the Unseen Magic
Unfortunately, none of the Reels Team were lucky enough to get Glastonbury tickets, but we have written a blog about the wonders of the festival and how the BBC TV coverage is put together – which, we think you’ll agree, is nothing like actually being there but we can all dream. Read it here!
