We partnered with The Attachment Research Community (ARC) to produce an educational film exploring the impact of attachment and trauma aware approaches within schools.
Created to support awareness and understanding around attachment theory, the film focused on the experiences of children, teachers and parents, highlighting how safe and supportive school environments can positively affect emotional wellbeing, behaviour and learning.
The production combined interviews, observational footage and personal testimony to create an honest and accessible narrative. Rather than taking a clinical or policy-heavy approach, the film centred around real experiences and emotional storytelling, allowing young people to speak openly about feeling heard, supported and understood within school.
Filming took place within active school environments, requiring a sensitive and considered production process, particularly when working with children discussing topics including trauma, anger, anxiety and difficult home experiences. Building trust with contributors and creating a comfortable filming environment was central throughout production.
The final film helped communicate ARC’s mission in a clear and human way, supporting schools and education settings in understanding the long-term value of attachment and trauma aware practices,
